Motivate me Monday

Composing Hallelujahs

I was very touched by today's Motivate Me Monday! In fact this was the first I had seen of this blog carnival, so I am so excited to participate! Oh.. if you would like to see more of today's Motivate me Monday make a pit stop here! I truly love today's topic, and can't wait to read more!

I remember havng to run into HEB for a few quick things and seeing the paper boy outside. As soon as I saw his face, tired and sweaty I immediately heard the Holy Spirit leading me to my next step. I did weigh my options, "What would he think?", "Would he think I was a freak, a stalker, a wierdo?".  What I was led to do was so small, so tiny that would it really even  matter? Would it make a difference?

When I got up to the check out line I decided that I was gonna do it. I got very excited because at the very least, I knew that it would be honoring God. I looked at the selection before me and picked something neutral. The store assistant who was checking out my groceries, smiled and then asked me if I wanted my cold drink in a bag. I then with a smile said no thank you, it isn't for me. With a glisten in her eye and a smile on her face she said "I didn't think it was".

As I walked out the door, the representative who was selling Sunday Papers (on Saturday of course!) looked like he was about to wrap up for the day. I simply walked up to him and told him " I thought you might be thirsty". He , wide eyed, looked at me and smiled, and said a simple "Thanks!". "No, thank you!".

As someone who really doesn't approach many "strangers" very easily, especially with an assignment from Heaven, this was an opener for me. I'd love to say that this is a daily thing for me, that everytime I go into the store I look for someone to bless, but truth be told I don't . I do however, know that feeling of the urging of the Lord, and I love it!
