My Best Christmas Memory
When I was growing up my mom and I lived with my grandparents. We lived out in the country where snow was SNOW. My grandparents had a huge family, a total of 9 children 5 sons, 4 girls. Between the kids that meant a ton of grand kids. Every holiday grandma and grandpa would throw together big family doings. The Christmas tree always went up the day after Thanksgiving.
The tree would be surrounded by all kinds of presents of every size and shape. My cousins and I loved going under the tree and trying to find the ones with our name on it. Grandma would always fix the holiday meal enough to feed an army. We would listen to our uncles play their musical instruments, everyone would sing along.
Them times are gone now since my grandparents passed on. The family has all moved to different areas of the state and world. But it is a time in my childhood that I will treasure forever.
I thank you Terra for sharing this lovely memory with us today. May the spirit of Christmas be alive and awakened like never before in your family this year.
