Cheesy BBQ Garbage bread
OH I love smelling fresh yeasty bread toasting up knowing it is filled with complete yumminess! DO NOT BE AFRAID of making your own pizza dough, bread, etc.
Garbage bread is just a funky name for a Stromboli. Hey, it's just as fun to say as it is to eat, and the possibilities are endless! Not too long ago I shared the cheeseburger Stromboli and this is so very similar!
Ingredients
2 lbs ground beef (I used 1 lb venison and 1lb turkey)
2/3 bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce
Sprinkle of Smoked chipolte chili powder
Garlic Salt
Pepper
1 bag of shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 recipe of pizza dough (see below)
1 onion diced to be cooked with meat
Brown meat and diced onion in a large pan and drain drippings. Put meat back in pan and pour over 2/3 bottle of BBQ sauce, and add remaining seasonings. (NOT cheese). Simmer on low for about 15 minutes. Preheat oven to 400*. Cut pizza dough in 1/2 to make two separate garbage breads, or you could even make "pockets". Roll out to a rectangle and in the middle add 1/2 of meat mixture. Top with 1/2 cheese. Roll up dough making sure to tuck in ends so the stuffing's do not flow out! Place on a foil lined cookie sheet. Slice slits on top for venting purposes. This way your inside will be hot and steamy but not under cooked and soggy. Continue with other 1/2 of dough, meat mixture, and cheese as you did with the first loaf. It is best to cook these on separate baking sheets.
BEST pizza dough recipe
1 package Active Dry Yeast
1 cup warm water (NOT too hot, but warmer then tap)
1 TBS Sugar
1 TSP salt
3 TBS Oil
2 1/2 - 3 cups flour (all purpose is fine)
Preheat oven to 400*. In a large bowl mix together 1 cup warm water, yeast, salt, sugar, oil and 1 cup of flour until mixed well. Add in remaining flour until dough forms a ball and begins to pull away from the bowl. Dump and knead for 5 minutes and place in an oiled bowl to rest and (Semi) rise for about twenty minutes.

It does my heart good when I read about your love for cooking and how you have carried on my love of creating your own receipes. Keep up the good work. God inspires us all in our own idividual talents. It is up to us to use those talents to glorify Him. Love Mom
