After beginning our bucket list for Christmas yesterday, I was feeling so very excited! Rejuvenated even for the holiday instead of overwhelmed! So many times the preparation before the "big" day seems to really zap a lot of JOY and peace. BUT... this Bucket list not only is helping me plan several activities for us to enjoy as a family, it is also getting some of the other "things" that often get overlooked and left undone which leaves this girl feeling pretty defeated.
So, on to week 2!
Day 8 (Sun)
Christmas on the Hill Christmas parade! (Home town parade!)
Day 9 (Mon)
Write a "Family Christmas Letter" to send to family and friends near and far telling them about our year!
Day 10 (Tues)
Buddy The Elf Party! On the menu: Spaghetti, salad, garlic bread with Pop tart Ice Cream Sandwiches for dessert! The entertainment: Watching Elf with hot cocoa.
Day 11 (Wed)
Day 12 (Thurs)
Hot chocolate and cookies for an afternoon snack while we make up containers of "hot cocoa mix" for teachers and neighbors.
Day 13 (Fri)
Have a camp out in front of the Christmas tree and fireplace!
Day 14 (Sat)
Make Caramel Popcorn, and string regular popcorn to put on the tree outside for the birds.
Memories! That's what a bucket list is! Not things you can get ~ but instead things you can DO!
** At time of publishing, pinterest was having a few hiccups and I could not link all the ideas!! Check back this evening for an update! **
