I am in a place where I am fighting discouragement and I know it is really all a part of the test. Part of the test is fighting for what matters most and working to see my dreams come into full fruition. How bad do I want it? Do I want to continue pushing forward even when it seems like things are not going as I visioned or do I simply give up and allow the dreams to die. I can tell you something. I am not giving up! The dreams and goals I have are something that God has put there and if I give up on them because they are not going as well as I first hoped, I would be acting like a spoiled brat and storming off to pout. I am not going to do that!
You Are More is now out at Amazon. I chose to self publish in order to get it in production quickly and to allow God to begin using His message of "You are More" to His people. So far, 4 people have received this message into their hands and I have heard great feedback! I have to remember that while YES it is my dream to become a published author of many books, renowned public motivational speaker, and encouragement to women who are in the busy season of their life.... if this book touched ONE life I am blessed!
In fact as I am writing this blog post I hop over real quick to check Facebook and see t his quote from Terri Savelle Foy:
Your destiny is prepared everyday by the words you speak. Speak words of life, love, and faith regardless of how you feel.
This is a VERY timely word for me! Discouragement means I am walking by sight and not by faith! My faith is MUCH bigger than the sight I have!
"Let your dreams be bigger than your fears, your actions louder than your words, and your faith stronger than your feelings!" ~ Unknown
I love what the message bible says :
That’s why we live with such good cheer. You won’t see us drooping our heads or dragging our feet! Cramped conditions here don’t get us down. They only remind us of the spacious living conditions ahead. It’s what we trust in but don’t yet see that keeps us going. Do you suppose a few ruts in the road or rocks in the path are going to stop us? When the time comes, we’ll be plenty ready to exchange exile for homecoming. 2 Corinthians 5:6-8
So, if you are going through something right now where it feels like your faith is only being stirred by what is in your sight .... remember live by faith, work hard, and know that in the end it will be as has been willed by Him.
