Motivation for your Monday: Breathe


I know with all that I am that you need this reminder as much as I do. The countdown is on as we head towards Christmas and if your anything like me your list is growing longer of things to do by each passing hour. But before anxiety gets flowing, and you become overwhelmed, let me encourage you to do the most important thing you can possibly do today. Breathe.


Let's give yourself a gift for the moment. Forget all that you must do, all that hasn't' been done, and all that you know will not be done today but you wish it would be. Why do we do that to ourselves? Why do we over plan, over schedule, and over do everything in our lives to the point that we become miserable?

Now I am all about planning, doing, and getting the most out of your holiday but if your miserable everyone around you will be too and that  makes for a NOT fun celebration. I know. Been there. I have been on the receiving end as well.

Put in your favorite Christmas movie, make you some hot chocolate or a quick batch of Caramel popcorn and turn on the tree lights. Yes .. in the day time! Do it! I can promise you that whatever your list is... will still be there and you will be in a much better  mood to tackle it all!

And if it makes you feel better, here is my to do list today ~ but I can guarantee you I will be spending some time with my kids and husband as we are all off for vacation together until early January!



So... after reading this I pray that you have been encouraged to slow down and actually enjoy the prep and moments leading up to Christmas instead of rushing through them!
